Paul Terek
An accomplished pole vaulter as well as decathlete, Terek established himself as one of America's leading combined events stars by qualifying to compete at the 2003 and 2005 World Outdoor Championships and the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. Terek set his current decathlon PR of 8,312 at the 2004 Olympic Trials in Sacramento, CA.
Shantel Beckers has been working with Paul since 2003 and accompanied him to the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and the 2005 Multistars Meet in Desenzano, Italy. “Shantel helped me realize my Olympic Dream,” says Paul. “Staying healthy is the most challenging aspect of competing. Consistent massages helped my muscles repair quicker, train at a higher level and compete at a world-class level. Anyone can benefit from the bodywork that Shantel offers.” Paul and his lovely wife Shilo reside in San Luis Obispo where Paul is focused on the 2008 Olympic Games to be held in Bejing, China. He's part of the Home Depot Olympic Training program and can be found in the lumber department of the San Luis store. If he's not at the Cal Poly track, you'll most likely see Paul attempting to catch a wave at the Rock, skateboarding around San Luis on a crazy homemade deck or watching King of the Hill while devouring his favorite snack...animal crackers.
